Allow me to introduce myself…

Hi there, I’m Brittney

A Clinical Nutritionist with an integrative & functional approach, specializing in women’s wellness and hormones. If you’re reading this, there’s probably some aspect about your health that you want to change. Maybe you’ve felt dismissed when talking about your symptoms in the past. (Hint: being a woman doesn’t have to suck! You may still feel awful even when your conventional labs look “normal”.) With all the health and wellness information and misinformation out there it can be hard to differentiate between what’s true and what isn’t when it comes to nutrition. Health is multifactorial and guidance should be individualized. Your past experiences have shaped the person that you are and your biology. Your relationship with food, environment, family history, lifestyle, medications, sleep, stress, trauma, hormones & more all play a role in what makes you unique. There is no clear cut answer to health, which is why digging deep and creating a personalized plan that’s rooted in evidenced-based scientific research is the way to achieve long-term success.

So what makes me qualified?

I am a board certified and licensed clinical nutritionist, holding a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health, 1,000+ hours of post-graduate clinical supervision, am a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and hold a Nutritionist Certification (CN) from the Washington State Department of Health. The CNS credential is the most advanced certification for personalized nutrition. To learn more, click here. My extensive training in the field of Clinical & Functional Nutrition has placed emphasis on discovering the root cause of a person’s symptoms and intervening with the goal of restoring health on a functional level. Combining knowledge from physiology, pathophysiology, human biochemistry, nutritional biochemistry, and current research allows me to apply the most informed interventions for whole-person health. We’ll explore interventions through food, lifestyle, integrative healing modalities, supplements, labs and more. In my clinical work, I have discovered a deep passion for helping women feel their best emotionally and heal from imbalanced hormones & negative relationships with food. I chose the path of nutrition and wellness because of my own healing journey as well as my lifelong love for food and cooking. Hosting and sharing food with family, friends, and the occasional stranger-turned-friend seems to be in my DNA. It brings me such joy to share nourishing meals and moments with others. I turned this love of food into my current passion; helping people find food freedom and heal through what food is meant to be – delicious nourishment for the body and mind.

While my roots are in upstate New York, I have found a home in Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley. After a few cross-country moves (New York— Oregon—Maine—Oregon), I’m happy to plant new roots just outside of Corvallis, Oregon. When I’m not working with clients I’m likely cooking something delicious, tending to my gardens, hiking, doing yoga, practicing martial arts, or my personal favorite pastime - backpacking in the beautiful Oregon wilderness with my dog, husband, and a few friends who love a good slog in the mountains!

I genuinely care about helping people feel better through nutrition and lifestyle changes because I know it can be done. I used to be plagued with migraines, anxiety, stubborn PCOS symptoms, fatigue and restrictive eating behaviors. I learned how to listen to and heal my body without medications and major restrictions. I know that you can be a more energized, healthy version of yourself. Forget what you’ve heard about the “do’s” and “don’ts” of nutrition. Let’s define what healthy means for you and start your journey together. Cheers!
